OUTREACH MINISTRIES AT LINDEN HILLS UCC Reflecting Jesus’ words in Mark’s Gospel, an early and abiding motto of Linden Hills Church is, “Not to be served, but to serve.” We carry out the gospel mandate of service to others through these and other ministries:
TRUSTLinden Hills UCC is an active member of TRUST, an interfaith organization comprised of 18 religious congregations in south and south west Minneapolis. TRUST brings congregations together in service to the community through community programs including, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, Parish Nursing, Home repair, and Loaves and Fishes (meals for isolated, low income or homeless residents of the Twins Cities)
Sierra Leone/Plymouth PartnershipWorking with members of Plymouth Congregational Church and citizens of Sierra Leone, we are in our 3rd year of this exciting ministry in three African villages. 100% of all funds raised for our efforts in education, health, agricultural and economic development go directly to the three villages. Linden Hills UCC also offers financial support to members of Linden Hills who travel to Sierra Leone as part of the partnerships annual village visit. To learn more about the partnership visit the Sierra Leone Plymouth Partnership website or contact Linden Hills UCC member Kim Taylor who recently returned from Sierra Leone! (kim. taylor@earthlink.net (Andy, can we put a link to Sierra Leone Plymouth Partnership?)

We are participating in several fun social and community events which celebrate the considerable strengths and assets of the northside. There are also opportunities for legislative and policy work, educational forums, as well as honest and respectful conversations on issues related to race and class.
