This Week at Linden Hills

10:00 AM Worship
Our worship will be enriched by the music of choir member Laura Carlson as she offers
her solo, "Pie Jesu" by Marcy Pyrtle. Thank you Laura!
The sermon will be based on Matthew 13:31-33, 44-52, the final section of that
gospel where the parables of Jesus are found. Many images converge in just a few
short verses of scripture to paint a picture of the Kingdom of God. As you consider
the images, what do you ultimately see? What you see may provide comfort as well as
some challenges to the "conventional eye" of the Christian Church.
Preschool children will hear the parable of the Farmer and the Growing Seed and
create an art piece based on the story. Rainforest adventurers will explore the theme
of God's love through a variety of activities, including games and scientific exploration.
Plan to stay around for coffee and other refreshments. It has been nice to have some
extra time to visit with one another during the quieter Sundays of summer!
