Worship
Worship With Us
Our worship services are held every Sunday at 10 a.m., with special
service on Christmas Eve and during Holy Week. Once a year we hold
an outdoor worship service at the bandshell on the shores of Lake Harriet.
Communion
We celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of every month. All are
invited to participate.
Children
Children are an important part of our faith community and participate in
many ways. See the Children and Youth section for more information on
programs and activities for children and teens.
Music
On most Sundays you'll find that music is a large part of how we
celebrate our worship. Whether it's our energetic and committed choir
or a piano solo by one of our children we think you'll see that music plays
a large part in our worship.
Additional Worship Experiences
As part of our outreach to the wider community additional worship
experiences are provided by the church for anyone (not just members).
These include marriage ceremonies, baptisms, memorial and
funeral services.
Accessibility
There is an elevator located on the ground floor of the church in
Fellowship Hall next to the conference room. Handicap parking is
available on the south side of 42nd Street near the side entrance to the
church.
Coffee Hour
Every Sunday at 11 a.m. following the worship service everyone is
invited downstairs to Fellowship Hall for refreshments and visiting.
New Members
Visitors are always welcome to officially join the congregation.
Information nights are held 3 times per year. This is an information
session that allows potential members to get to know the minister and to
ask questions about the church, community, and our faith.

| Weddings Linden Hills UCC is a faith community that welcomes all couples regardless of church membership. As an Open and Affirming United Church of Christ congregation, this church provides a setting for weddings regardless of sexual orientation, and is also open to ecumenical or interfaith marriage ceremonies. (open and affirming statement.) Our location in the Linden Hills neighborhood and close proximity to Lake Harriet and Calhoun make this a great place to take your vows. Pastor, Eliot Howard, has been at LHUCC for 15 years and has performed numerous ceremonies. He really likes to get to know a couple to make sure their ceremony honors their wishes and attends to their needs. We have an experienced music staff as well. Our music director, Christine Anderson, is an accomplished soloist, and we are fortunate to have two wonderful pianists/organists, Mary Kay Duquette and Julie Champ. All are able to help you plan what music will best compliment your ceremony and welcome the opportunity to go through selections with you. A CD of vocal solos is also available for ideas. Finally, Linden Hills also has its own in- house florist. Christine Anderson (who doubles as our music director) is able to provide you with all of your floral and decorating needs.
